Sustainable Development Goals Policy

  • Promote awareness of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among students, faculty, and staff.
  • Integrate sustainability concepts into teaching, learning, research, and innovation activities.
  • Encourage interdisciplinary research and projects that address environmental, social, and economic challenges.
  • Support community outreach programmes aligned with SDGs through NSS, clubs, and extension activities.
  • Promote responsible resource management, including energy conservation, water conservation, waste management, and green campus initiatives.
  • Collaborate with industries, government agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions to achieve sustainable development objectives.
  • Encourage student participation in SDG-related competitions, internships, innovation challenges, and entrepreneurship initiatives.
  • Monitor and document institutional contributions toward achieving the SDGs and continuously improve sustainability practices.
  • Uphold ethical values, inclusiveness, gender equality, and social responsibility in all institutional activities.
  • Contribute to national and global sustainable development through quality education, research, innovation, and community service.

This proposed vision and policy are consistent with RMK College of Engineering and Technology's institutional vision of providing quality technical education, promoting research, and serving humanity while supporting sustainable development.
